The photographer spent 10 years shooting the same bench

One Ukrainian photographer spent a decade of his life in one single project - surprisingly personal and atmospheric. Through his kitchen window, Evgeni Kotenko shot the same bench in the park for 10 years. Years go by, seasons replace each other, but some things remain the same.

"I didn’t set any goals or time limits, I just went to the kitchen and looked out the window, - the photographer tells. - Usually there was something to see ". Although Kotenko claims that he has fond memories of the neighbors with whom he grew up, "there were many bad things that it’s better not to think about."

"The worst thing is to see people with whom I went to school, drinking on this bench, and then crawling home like reptiles. I was afraid that if I went outside, I would become one of them."
