9 things to do in Tbilisi

Tbilisi is a very cool city. I’ll write about him from five posts, for sure. Well, today is a mini-guide: what to do and where to escape to Tbilisi in the first place. Let's go!

So, you are in Tbilisi! Suitcases are thrown in a hotel room, phones are charged, comfortable shoes are put on - let’s go, in general. Where to go? Well, of course, to the center! Specifically, in the Sololaki region. The most commonplace that can be done now is to climb to the Narikala fortress. You have two ways: either the cable car for 2.5 GEL (a little more than 60 rubles), or on foot along the stairs that depart from Asatiani Street. And now we choose the walking option. There are gorgeous views of the old city and a lot of cats!

Then you can go down the cable car and walk around the old city, looking around and remembering to raise your head up.

A glimpse into the most incredible Tbilisi parades is a must.

Yards and doors. As they say in Georgia: if you did not go to Tbilisi yards, then you were not in Tbilisi. If you didn’t touch the old door handles, then you don’t have a soul.

We move to the opposite part of the old city - to the Tsmind Sameba Cathedral. We examine the largest cathedral of the city and after that we eat deliciously in the cafe of the famous network "Water Lagidze", which is located directly on the territory of the cathedral. The food here is very simple, but chocolate and creamy lemonade must be tried!

Ate, drink - now you can drink again, but something more interesting. We go to the wine gallery and taste, taste, taste. We buy wine and taste again. Fatigue removes at hand, and life is filled with bright colors.

We continue to study Tbilisi’s non-banal public transport and now take a funicular ride. It goes to Mount Mtatsminda, and its cost is all the same 2.5 GEL one way. Plus 2 GEL for an irrevocable card on which trips will be written to you. From Mtatsminda we again admire the city, but it is better to go down the stairs if you don’t take much time.

And again we climb to Narikala, but now in the evening. Burning Tbilisi is beautiful, and you can admire this view almost endlessly.

Tbilisi Sea and the monument "History of Georgia". The history of Georgia is an impressive work of whom would you think? Well, of course, Zurab Tsereteli. 16 columns, each of 35 meters, and all the milestones of the formation of the Georgian state are depicted on them. It looks impressive.

The Tbilisi Sea is actually not the sea, but only an artificial reservoir, but you should still look at it. Above the southeastern side of the reservoir, airplanes land at Tbilisi Airport, this picture looks very cool, I advise!
