A man found 100-year-old negatives in a box that he bought for $ 7

Rummaging through old artifacts in the antique market, you can feel like an archaeologist at the excavation site - and in either case, a person may encounter true treasures. This is exactly what happened with the elderly Briton Greg Pak from Essex.

A 70-year-old man was at a garage sale, looking for an old watch and stumbled upon a battered box. His son, publisher Scott Patrick, told a further story on his Twitter account.

Inside the mysterious box were 100-year-old glass negatives that really interested his father. Mr. Pak, a retired graphic artist who worked in the press many years ago, said that he had once worked with negatives and was doing pretty well.

However, according to a former artist, working with glass negatives is quite difficult. Using his knowledge of photography and modern technology, the Englishman found a way to restore pictures. Now we can see what he did.

Together with the photos, the pensioner found several tips about the family shown in the pictures and asked Twitter users to comment on the find, based on their knowledge. Those, in turn, replied that the negatives are probably more than 100 years old.
