A rare fight between a lynx and a wolf took place in Belarus, but the finale turned out to be unusual

As a rule, wolves and lynxes have a slightly different habitat, and therefore the confrontation between them is quite rare, but still happens. Not so long ago, a similar case was recorded by a camera trap in Belarus. So, in Nalibokskaya Pushcha, a lynx accidentally came across the territory of a wolf and unexpectedly collided with the owner face to face.

If we compare the average sizes of both predators, we can see that wolves are larger and stronger than lynxes. In addition, if wolves are used to engage in direct combat and have great endurance, feline representatives, on the contrary, hunt from ambush, choosing the tactics of surprise. In such situations, it turns out that in the battle with each other the advantage is on the side of the canids. That is why in nature, lynxes try not to encounter these creatures and rarely attack them, choosing as a victim only wolf cubs or pregnant females who cannot give a full rebuff.

However, if you return to the heroes of today's story, then here the lynx behaves very boldly. The male did not run away from the dangerous enemy, but entered the battle. At first, for about a minute, they stood opposite each other in threatening poses, assessing the situation and trying to crush the enemy mentally.

But no one was going to give up and cede territory, the battle was inevitable.

However, after a few seconds, amazed people found that the wolf defeated lies on the ground. The "gray" had no choice but to admit defeat and escape - his wounds were too serious.

Before, almost every day, people noticed this wolf in the frames of camera traps, but after this battle it literally disappeared. From which we can conclude that the beast could not cope with the injuries and died.
