Prince Edward Island: 10 amazing photos of the most peaceful place on earth

Prince Edward Island is one of the Seaside Provinces of Canada. A place of long-awaited seclusion and complete peace. This is the oldest settlement with a population of only 145 thousand people has existed since ancient times, and its main occupations are agriculture and fishing. Amazing land with small villages and endless grassy fields.

Lighthouses

Lighthouses are a characteristic feature of the island. This is the lone lighthouse on Cape Trion, which guided sailors passing along the northern coast for more than a hundred years.

Dunes Cavendish

Stretching for 8 km, these red and gold sandy beaches are one of the most popular destinations on the island.

Greenwich National Park

There are no mountains on the island, and the highest point is 142 m above sea level. Greenwich National Park is the closest place to the mountains that the inhabitants of the island had to see.

Red Rocks, North Rustico

Every morning, except Sunday, lobster boats go out of the harbor with the first rays of the sun.

Sand and sky, nameless beach

Many years ago, no measures were taken on the island to protect the environment, on the main beaches it was possible to light bonfires and drive cars. Fortunately, these times are far in the past.

Greenwich National Park Walks

From edge to edge of the park (410 km) or around it (850 km) you can ride a bicycle or go on foot.

Sunset, Cavendish, Prince Edward Island National Park

The moderate morning wind on the island turns into violent gusts in combination with strong tides. By evening, the wind subsides, and the sea becomes peaceful.

South coast

The south coast of the island is beautiful for many reasons. One of them is the small seaside village of Victoria-on-the-Sea with a population of 200 people, a chocolate factory and warm coastal waters.

Lighthouse, West Point

This is one of the oldest lighthouses on the island, built in 1874. Before him, only five others were built.

Winds, Cape Trion

Finding Cape Trion is not an easy task. The old dirt road that runs along the cape does not give any hints of a lone lighthouse and stunning views from this place, which has no protection from the strong winds of the northern shore.
