Shocking situation: the real scale of the migration crisis in Europe

According to the Frontex Agency for External Border Security of the European Union, since the beginning of this year there have been more than 710 thousand migrants arriving in the European Union. However, in reality this figure is much higher. According to the European Commission, there has not been such a major migration crisis since the outbreak of World War II.

In mid-October, in order to prevent the influx of migrants from Croatia, Hungary closed its border, as a result of which the number of refugees traveling to Slovenia increased dramatically. On October 22, the number of migrant arrivals was a record for this state - that day over 12.5 thousand people arrived in Slovenia.
