I found the perfect roads

In addition to jokes.

I really found a country in which perfect roads. Which are ideally built, on which an ideal system of organization of movement and which can safely be called a standard.

And this applies to expressways, and local roads, and even ... dirt roads!

In general, I believe that you should not stint and send here our officials who are responsible for the construction of roads and the development of road standards. Let them see with their own eyes what roads are convenient for drivers.

Maybe then, in our area, something will change not only on federal highways and toll roads, but in general on all roads in the country.

In general, see how cool everything is on the roads of Australia.

First and foremost. All roads in Australia are awesome. Excellent road surface, excellent visibility, markings are everywhere, even if the nearest settlement 200 km, security zone, overtaking zone, picnic area - everything is organized at strict intervals and must be indicated a hundred and fifty times.

Perfect even primers! There are a lot of primers in Australia, and you won’t believe it, but you can safely “knock” them over 100 km / h.

Moreover, they even have speed limit signs. And 50 is a rarity, it’s near the tavern. In general, 90 or 110! On the primer!

If there is a closed turn or an adjoining road ahead, a red plate "Slow down!"

After each settlement - an information sign with the distance to the next town and to a large city.

This is important information, since there are gas stations only in cities, and the driver must always know how much he should drive to the nearest one.

Famous plaques warning of the probable exit of wild animals to the ramp. Somewhere it is a kangaroo, somewhere - ostriches, somewhere - cattle.

Another unusual and unusual sign for us is the fire hazard indicator. Such signs can be seen throughout the country, and on them every day (and sometimes several times a day), road workers manually move the arrow in accordance with the situation.

The fact that fires are a real problem for Australia, especially in the hot season.

By the way, in Australia private roads are not uncommon. For which, of course, travel is prohibited.

Of course, these are not parts of the route or roads between cities. As a rule, this is a road adjacent to the highway, leading either to someone's ranch, or to an enterprise, or to a mine, or to private territory.

As a rule, there are no barriers, but if you go along this road, it will mean an invasion of private property.

Lighting. Almost all intersections, adjacent roads or junctions are lit. And even far from settlements.

Marking on Australian roads with reflective effect. And this is not just such a paint, but a special technology by which such reflective corners are embedded in the dividing strip.

Australia has a lot of warning signs. In the sense that they warn that this sign will be ahead. Ahead of the speed limit, ahead of the sign “Follow the road!”, Ahead of the sign “Children”. Everything is done so that you pay attention and slow down in advance. All for safety.

But I especially liked the organization of the traffic on highways.

To say that there is almost no traffic on them is to say nothing. The traffic here is really small. Therefore, building wide roads with two lanes in each direction is inefficient. Accordingly, many highways have one lane in each direction. But with great regularity, overtaking zones are organized on them, because there are quite often huge road trains, which are sometimes problematic and simply dangerous to overtake.

Therefore, at some point you see a sign warning the driver of the slow car to take it to the left, since there is an overtaking zone ahead. See, it starts intermittent in the left lane?

At the end of this zone there will be a warning sign that the overtaking zone ends and must be taken to the right.

A sign informing that two lanes have turned into one.

Another option overtaking zone. Also very cool. We see an intermittent and ahead road train for 4 trailers. And we don’t know whether we will have time to overtake or not: what if a closed turn is very close? It can still be seen during the day, but certainly not at night.

But here is a plate that says that the length of the overtaking zone is 5 km. Everything can be safely overtaken if headlights are not visible.

The overtaking zone will begin after 300 meters. Everyone is getting ready)

The overtaking zone will end in 500 meters. Well, cool!

Railroad crossings. Also a warning much in advance. Attention, moving ahead!

This is what the stopping place looks like before moving. Do you see the move itself? He is far away! They really stop for about 100 meters! And this is correct so that there is no temptation to quickly slip through.

And the move itself is just where! Naturally, he is perfect. And if there is no inhibitory signal, it can safely be passed at a speed of more than 100 km / h.

Well, another cool feature of Australian roads - free coffee at gas stations for drivers who filled a full tank.

Well, why not? Its prime cost is cheap, the cost of refueling gasoline will cover everything. But the driver is pleased and will want less sleep.
