Have you already seen how babies traveled on airplanes in the 50s?

Today, you can often witness a heated discussion on the topic of finding young children on board an airplane. But for us, as devoted fans of travel in all their forms and manifestations, only one thing is clear - airlines must take care of a pleasant and comfortable pastime for all their passengers, including babies. We found rare photographs of 1953 demonstrating how in the past the smallest travelers were provided with a pleasant experience of being at an altitude of several thousand kilometers above the ground. Not without amazing engineering solutions!

British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) delighted its customers with children with special hammocks for traveling long distances. Such a hammock clung to the luggage rack, allowing the baby to sleep comfortably and safely. In this case, the child, of course, had to remain in the hands of the parents during take-off and landing. The company continues this practice to this day.

These photos make us think that it may be worth stopping complaining about small children on airplanes, and instead try to find great ways to provide kids with the most convenient and enjoyable flight conditions.
