When Hawaiian homeless people live better than our hard workers

I understand all the righteous anger that will appear to many after reading this post ...

Yes indeed. The reality is that Hawaiian homeless people live much better than hard workers somewhere in the Russian outback.

In direct cash terms.

Homeless people in Hawaii are so chocolate and protected by the authorities of the island that this is the most bomb-populated state in the USA. The concentration of homeless people here is 6 (!!!) times higher than the national average! 6 times - 1.2% of the total population!

Moreover, a third of all homeless people have migrated to Hawaii from other states in the past 10 years.

Ask why this is happening? The fact is that this state is distinguished by a special sense of humanism for the homeless, in every way possible, helping them, providing everyone with what the homeless need, and just do not let the homeless die.

And now, attention, on average, the state of Hawaii spends $ 700 a month on one homeless person !!! Here it is, the real minimum cost of living.

Almost 42 thousand rubles. It is interesting how many people in Russia receive wages less than this amount.
Not being homeless at the same time, not doing anything, but working and working hard ...

It is clear that the homeless are incredibly buzzing in Hawaii.

And the sun to you, and the ocean, and no cold and frost. You don’t have to worry about the place where you live, because You can live absolutely everywhere - you will not freeze.

But, despite the highly humane attitude of the authorities towards these comrades, this situation economically suits them less and less, because homeless people on the island breed faster than the population grows ...

Do you know how the authorities found a way out?

They are ready to send any homeless ... on a trip!

And since you can go on a trip from Hawaii only by plane, the homeless are paid for an air ticket, as well as procedures for sanitizing and getting a decent appearance so that a person is allowed on the plane.

True, one way. In other words, in this way they try to evict homeless people from the island.

American law doesn’t allow people to be evicted from the state, so I had to create a program in which especially unprofitable residents themselves, voluntarily, move elsewhere.

Restrictions on participation in the "travel to the mainland" program are minimal: any Hawaiian homeless person who has no contagious diseases and is ready to sign a document confirming that the departure will be completely voluntary can take advantage of the offer. True, you can go free to the continent strictly once: fly away, return at your own expense and then fly away again will not work.

Formally, the authorities explain that they came up with the program, taking care of the homeless themselves. Now they can safely move to their near and dear ones who will help them to get back on their feet. But, by and large, no one is especially hiding that the staff expects to seriously save budget money in this way. A homeless person is much cheaper to wash and put him on a plane once than to keep him until the end of his life.

In general, in Hawaii they were not the first to come up with how to "legally" evict homeless people.

For the first time, such a thing was invented in New York, where back in 2007, authorities began to buy bus, train, and even plane tickets for local homeless people. All for free, but only one way. Naturally, all this is presented not as expulsion of homeless people for the sake of economy, but as a noble concern of the city for family reunion.

For almost ten years, several hundred homeless people have been sent from New York every year. It costs the city budget half a million dollars a year, but the mayor’s office assures that the costs are recouped - the annual savings from each “reunited family” in expensive New York reaches $ 36 thousand.

The experience of New York began to gradually spread throughout the United States. Homeless people began to take free departure programs in other major cities such as San Francisco or in areas with a pleasant, stimulating influx of strollers climate, such as resorts in Florida. Then expelled homeless guessed in the capital of Louisiana Baton Rouge. There, in the harsh South, deputies were less sophisticated in humanistic hypocrisy than their New York counterparts, so at first they honestly called the program “Clean Sweep”, but thought it over and renamed it “Hope” in time. In general, everywhere the authorities diligently emphasize that they give out free tickets only to those homeless people who can confirm that they have somewhere to go. But how strictly this rule is observed in reality is unknown. Especially when you consider that almost everywhere the supply of homeless people with free tickets is vested in the police.

In general, I’m curious how soon the homeless cycle in the USA will ring and all states will accept this program.

Then the homeless in the states will start a clean buzz and they will ride free of charge from state to state at the expense of local budgets.
