Things to do

Skiing and snowboarding

The ski area of Borovets is divided into two. The first, smaller and turning into the main resort, is served by 2 chair lifts and a number of tugboats. It consists of slopes for children, a pair of short black tracks, 1 long blue track and a series of short red ones. The second ski area can be reached by lift and it is much larger, with a number of long blue and red pistes. The slopes of the black zone are also here, however, it should be noted that, despite their high quality, this place is still considered intended mainly for beginners and continuing.

The resort has several good ski schools offering a wide variety of ski lessons. If you are a beginner, then you should book a place in such a school in advance.

Borovets is also the only resort in Bulgaria offering cross-country skiing.

Snowboarders ride both in the same areas as skiers and on slopes specially prepared for this sport.

On this site you can see information on equipment for skiing and snowboarding, data on slopes and lifts, airport transfers, webcams.

Bars Where to go

Bobby's Bar is a place to have a beer and chat about time spent on the slopes. Mostly in English. Everyone is friendly and open to communication, so if you like to chat or you have something to share, this is the place for you. The bar is empty between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and time until 4 pm, when people begin to descend from the slopes. It may not be easy to find, but if you go up past Francos, this is the last building on the right (with bright pink windows).
