Fairytale photos of horses living in the extreme conditions of Iceland

There is something mystical about snow and ice, and perhaps that is what makes Iceland such a fascinating and magnetic place. New York-based photojournalist and filmmaker Drew Doggett was able to capture a piece of this magic in his new series of photographs called "In the Kingdom of Legends." The main characters of the project were the wild horses that inhabit the island.

For shooting, the American moved away from his usual black and white photograph and decided to shoot in color. "The light creates a sensation of radiance, which adds the elevation of the entire seriesDoggett says. - Given the contrast between landscape and horses, I knew this work required color. ".
