Coastal Cappuccino. The most beautiful natural phenomenon!

This natural phenomenon can be seen in different parts of the world, but most often in the southern hemisphere: Queensland and New South Wales (Australia), Maryland (USA) and Cape Town (South Africa). Looking at this phenomenon, one would think that Poseidon started festive gatherings, on the occasion of which he ordered to prepare tons of foamy drink. These unusual waves got a very tasty name - "Coastal Cappuccino" (Cappuccino coast).

According to scientists, this effect is obtained as a result of a giant mix of sea salt, algae and objects that have fallen into the water.

Under the influence of wind flows, thick foam appears, which rushes to the shores, where it gradually disappears without a trace. "Coastal cappuccino" is not dangerous for humans, but swimming with this amount of foam is not recommended.

Over the past year, "cappuccino" has been prepared by nature in several coastal cities across the planet. There is also a version that this foaming is associated with pollution of the environment and the sea.

August 27, 2007 near Sydney, this natural phenomenon has reached incredible proportions. The ocean ashore a huge amount of foam, which flooded not only the beach, but also the adjacent houses. The foamy area extended over 50 kilometers. Journalists then dubbed this phenomenon "Cappuccino Coast".

The formation of foam occurred very quickly. And young surfers literally in a minute were in the midst of a foaming typhoon.

No harm done. Quite the contrary - an unusual rush of foam caused a joyful excitement among vacationers, and everyone was in a hurry to take more beautiful photos on the foamy shore.

And a few years ago nature staged a "foam show" on the coast of Cape Town in South Africa.

Locals say it seemed to them as if unexpectedly they poured a huge amount of coffee with milk into the ocean, and then mixed it with waves with a giant blender.

Residents of the Scottish city of Aberdeen also had a chance to get acquainted with snowdrifts from sea foam.

And the tsunami after the earthquake in Chile caused foam to form on California beaches.
